Bella- main character in the book
Edward- Bella's love interest. Most of the novel revolves around these two characters.
Charlie- Bella's dad (Bella moved to forks to live with him)
Jacob Black- Bella's childhood friend
Renee'- Bella's mum (traveling with new husband)
Billy Black- Jacob's dad, Charlies friend
Mike- One of Bella's new friends at school. Mike has a HUGE crush on Bella. Overly helpful .V. jealous of Edward
Jasper- Edward's 'brother' - can change peoples mood
Alice- Edward's 'sister' - see's in the future. Jasper's girlfriend

In Twilight both movie and novel, Edward is a person that does not talk to other people apart from his family. Until Bella comes along. I didn't like in the novel when in nearly every second page Bella repeatedly said " oh and the way Edward touched my face".

The reaction the public have had on Twilight is outstanding, Everyone had fallen in love with Edward, had t-shirts, hats, posters and mugs. Stephenie Meyer wrote this novel because i believe she knew it was going to be a big hit world wide.
